Following the number of Gender Based Violence reported in the area of Lethabong in the Rustenburg Local Municipality, the North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management deemed it fit to mobilise stakeholders to campaign against violence. Converged at Lethabong Police Station, more than 80 people from different stakeholders such as Lethabong SAPS, RUTH K Foundation, Department of Correctional Services, Kitso Ke Lesedi, Community Safety Forum, Faith Based Organization (Luthern church), Thuthuzela Care Centre, Phokeng Trauma, Rustenburg Local Municipality and Bikers club distributed pamphlets and engaged with communities on door-door and and driving around complexes. According to the recent statetics, Lethabong is one of the 30 stations in the Province with high number of case on GBV cases. Police and the stakeholders kept encouraging people to report gender based violence related cases.
